Happy and healthy

Life is wonderful and amazing, it offers us a lot of opportunities, but we can't enjoy them if we are not healthy. Our health must be our first priority in life. It is a shame we are not educated in that way. We are told to go to school, then go to work to get money, and have a family. They forgot to teach us to watch what we eat!

Nowadays, products have harmful chemicals in order to make them last longer and extend their shelf life, and animals are not fed right and are also given hormones in order to make them grow bigger or produce more by products (milk, eggs, etc.). That's great for the big corporations and their owners because they are making more money, but it is terrible for us, the consumers. It is crazy because we end up consuming all of those chemicals and hormones.

The good thing is now people are paying attention to what they eat, for example we see people starting to eat organic vegetables and fruits, people choosing grass fed meats and free range poultry, and more people even started to become vegetarian or vegan! Not just that, people are also looking at the ingredients in their skincare products, body cream, soap, shampoo, etc, because most of them are harmful for our skin. The fact is that we are what we eat, but also what we absorb through our skin.  When we eat, our organs are in charge of filtering out the bad things before digestion, but our skin doesn't have a filter system, everything that we put on it is absorbed in approximately 25 seconds. 

In this order of ideas, a friend told me about this botanically based company whose products are vegan certified, non GMO, gluten free, cruelty-free, no animal product or byproducts. Free of parabens (linked to breast cancer), mineral oil or petroleum, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfate and other hormone disrupting chemicals. I was amazed at how this company cares about health, wellness and beauty from the inside out. After checking out all the great products they have, I couldn't help it and I just joined them because I knew I could help people choose better options for their body and skin.

The first thing I decided to try was their nutrition program called "30 days Healthy Living", which is designed to detox your body, make your  digestive system work better and prepare your body to eat healthier. The program is based in plant-powered nutritional products that provide all the nutrients that we need. The products are vegan and gluten-free certified, they are blend with premium vitamins, minerals, botanicals,  antioxidants, enzymes, prebiotics, and probiotics for maximum product effectiveness.

The challenge is made twice per month during the whole year, which means that if you are interested in doing it, there is no excuse not to make it lol. Hey! I am not going to lie and say that it is an easy challenge, but is not impossible. The first week is hard, but after it, it feels great. We are not required to skip meals, just to eat healthier and maybe replace one meal per a protein shake and exercise a minimum of 30 minutes per day. After my 30 days, I am feeling great. I jogged 25 minutes per day, I did 5 minutes of abs and replaced one meal. At the end, I lost 12lbs (5,4kg), my  digestive system is way better than before and my skin feels amazing.

Once you detox your body and learn how to eat healthier most of your health issues will improve and you will lose or maintain your weight, depending on what you want.

Learn How to Love Yourself

Sometimes we feel sad and depressed and we think nothing will get back to normal. Our mood is down and we don't want to wake up and face the world. We could think that we are not worth it and that we will never achieve our dreams. We could be sad because something horrible happened to us or because we think the world is against us and nothing is in our favor. In fact, we tend to blame people for our attitude, behavior or failures, because in the end, it is easier to do so.  We don't take responsibility for our behavior and if we keep doing that we are not going to get out from the hole we're in.

When we are depressed, our self-esteem is on the floor and the only way to improve it is by working on it. That means we have to love ourselves and start to think positively all the time. Of course, it takes time, I am not going to lie to you, but the sooner you start, the faster you get better. 

You may be wondering "how do I start working on my self-esteem?" Guess what? I found a really good place to start. I only recommend things I have tried before and believe me this works. It is a life-changing practice called "Mirror Work" created by Louise Hay, a great writer who has written several books on how to heal our soul and body in different ways.

This practice just takes 21 days. Every day you will repeat an exercise of one minute, 5 times. That means just 5 minutes of your day for 21 days. Believe me, it's worth it. The practice is explained in 3 videos. In the first video, you will follow the given instruction for seven days. In the 8th day, you will listen to the second video and so on until you get to the last video and complete the 21 days. Easy peasy lemon Squeezy!     Decisiones de vida: Quién es el mejor consejero?




    ¿Quién dice que es fácil tomar una decisión importante que va a cambiar tu vida? Muchas personas dicen que lo es porque no se trata de ellos mismos. Es muy fácil dar un consejo, verdad? Pero cuando se trata de elegir cuál es la mejor opción para tú vida, muchos pensamientos llegan a la mente y no los podemos parar. Es entonces cuando piensas qué hacer, y vas y le preguntas a tu familia, amigos y a todo el mundo qué pensarían ellos sí haces esto o lo otro. Y al final te das  cuenta que tú eres la única persona que tiene que saber qué hacer. Ahora debes estar pensando.. sí eso es cierto pero cómo lo hago. Bueno has una búsqueda en tu alma..Qué?? sí, la mejor guía que puedes tener en tú vida está dentro de ti y es el corazón. Debes seguir, escuchar, sentir y escuchar qué te dice. Tú puedes preguntarle y él te responderá con un SI o con un NO. ¿Pero cómo puedo saber que dice el corazón? Fácil, tú le preguntas algo y el te responderá a través de las emociones.  Por ejemplo: imagina que estás planeando mudarte a otra ciudad pero no estás seguro. Entonces te preguntarás a ti mismo sí es buena idea mudarte a otra ciudad ,y al mismo tiempo te visualizarás viviendo y haciendo las cosas que tú crees que puedes hacer allá. Sí después de ello te sientes feliz, en paz y emocionalmente bien, la respuesta es un rotundo SI, pero si te sientes terrible y triste hasta el punto tal que lloras y no puedes parar,  la respuesta es obviamente un NO. Entonces, lo primero que debes hacer la próxima vez que tengas que tomar una decisión de vida es preguntarle a tu corazón y él te ayudará adecuadamente.

    Life Decisions: who is the best adviser?



    Who says that is easy to make a big decision that is going to change your life?  A lot of people say that it is easy, but they say that when the case is not referring to themselves. It is effortless to give advice, right?  But when you try to select the best option for your life, a lot of thoughts come to your mind and you cannot stop

    them easily. So, you start thinking what to do, and  start asking your family, friends and everybody what they would think if you do this or if you do that. And at the end, you realize that you are the only person that has to know what to do.  Now, you must be thinking yes, that is true, but how can I do it? Well, do some soul searching.. what? Yes, the best guide that you have in your life is inside of you and it is your heart. You have to follow, listen, feel and hear what it tells you. You can ask it and it will have two responses Yes or No. How can I know what the heart says? Easy, you will ask it a question, and it will respond you through your emotions. For example: imagine that you are planning to move to another city but you are not sure about it. So, you will ask yourself: if it is a good idea to move to another city and at the same time you will visualize yourself living there and doing things that think you can do over there. Then, if you feel really happy, peaceful and emotionally fine about it the answer is a YES for sure, but if you feel terrified and feel so sad that you want to cry and cry and can´t stop , the answer is obviously NO. So, the first thing you must do the next time you have to  make a life decision is ask to your heart about it, and it will help you properly.

    Has lo que te haga feliz!




    La vida es corta comparada con la eternidad. Entonces sí la vida es corta ¿porque no hacemos todo lo que queremos hacer? La mayoría de las personas dice “Cuando tenga tiempo haré esto o aquello”  ¿Que estas esperando, ponerte viejo y después decir “estoy viejo” y usar eso como excusa? No, no, no. Si no eres feliz con lo que eres o con lo que haces, parate y piensa en todas las cosas que te harían feliz. Después piensa cómo puedes hacer para hacer eso que te hace feliz y crea un plan para lograrlo. Recuerda,nada es imposible, el límite es el cielo.

    Y por favor no pienses que van a pensar los demás de tu plan. Esto se trata de ti, de tú felicidad. Cuando haces algo con el corazón lo obtienes y eres exitoso.Obvio que no se trata de magia, tienes que trabajar fuerte, poner mucha energía y tener una actitud positiva. Cuando realmente hacemos lo que amamos, todo es posible y la sastifacción de lograrlo es invaluable.
